Why does the app keep crashing by showing the splash screen?
The app must be used in portrait mode except when viewing maps. Rotating your device while not on a map selection screen will cause the app to show the splash screen. Rotate it back to portrait and you will return to the screen you were on.
Why should I get a Silver subscription?
With a Silver subscription to IWXM Pro's Premium Content, you get images and loops of every map available on InstantWeatherMaps.com, with a 14-day archive, all from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch. Far more variables are offered, especially for the United States, on the subscription section of the app than on the other portion. In addition, the maps load much faster (in addition to being available earlier).
Why should I get a Gold subscription?
With a Gold subscription to IWXM Pro's Premium Content, you get everything in a Silver subscription, plus GEFS Mean, Min, Max, and Individual Member maps. In addition, many features are planned to be for Gold subscribers in the future.
How much does a subscription cost?
A Silver subscription costs $0.99 for 1 week, $1.99 for 1 month, $4.99 for 3 months, or $18.99 for 1 year. A Gold subscription costs $1.99 for 1 week, $4.99 for 1 month, $12.99 for 3 months, or $49.99 for 1 year.
Will the price ever go up?
We cannot make any guarantees as to the future price of any content. However, if you purchase a subscription, we guarantee that you will be able to access it until 00Z on the specified expiry date as long as our site is up.
I already bought a Silver subscription. What happens to it when I buy a Gold subscription?
Your Silver subscription is automatically increased by the same number of days as your Gold subscription. For instance, if you have 2 months remaining on your Silver subscription and buy a 1-month Gold subscription, then you will still have 2 months remaining on the Silver subscription once the Gold subscription expires.
I will never be using my Silver subscription because I like the features in the Gold subscription enough to keep using it. Is there any way to get a refund or exchange?
We do not give cash refunds of any kind. However, you may e-mail us at webmaster (at sign) instantweathermaps (dot) com to inquire about changing your remaining Silver days into a Gold subscription of similar value. Include your username and password (or, alternately, a hexadecimal MD5 checksum of your password) when you e-mail us. For security reasons we will send all replies to the e-mail address on record for that username unless it is blank. Please note that this is a one-way transfer, and we will not reverse it for any reason.
What are the benefits of including an e-mail address when you register?
If you ever forget your password, we can reset it and e-mail it to you.
I would like to change my username, password, or e-mail.
Web forms allowing you to change your password or e-mail address are coming soon. If you wish to change the username on your account, please send an e-mail containing your IWXM Pro username and password to webmaster (at sign) instantweathermaps (dot) com. Username change requests must be accompanied by a suitable reason for making the change or they will be promptly denied due to the stress such changes place on our server.
I forgot my password and did not sign up with an e-mail address or no longer have access to the e-mail I used to sign up.
We are sorry, but for security reasons we can only send a password to the e-mail address listed on your user account.
Will (insert model or feature here) ever be available to subscribers?
Possibly. We hope to include more models, more variables, and more regions in the future. If you have a specific suggestion for a feature, feel free to contact us.
Is the app available for Android?
We plan on getting the app onto the Android Market by the end of 2012 if at all possible. Please check back frequently and follow us on Facebook and Twitter for further updates.
